The EX1200-6 is designed and engineered to give you the flexibility to handle different jobs with the same high efficiency. You can count on it to get your work done.

While the operator’s cab layout, controls and monitor are from the Hitachi Zaxis Dash-3 line of construction excavators, the main frame, undercarriage, swing gear and modular design of the engine compartment, radiator and oil cooler and control valve place it squarely in the mining camp.

Features include a redesigned seat, armrests, short-stroke fingertip-control levers, higher-capacity air conditioner, enlarged side window, rearview monitoring camera and an all-digital, multifunction monitor.

To protect you from falling objects, the cab’s top guard conforms to OPG Level ll (ISO) specifications. And the roomy and pressurized interior with tinted-glass windows features all-round visibility.

LCD monitor

The large multifunction, multi-language LCD monitor is the easy to read and provides you with key data about the excavator. The MIC mining system uses a data logging unit to record daily operating conditions and warnings. And the monitor can be preset to indicate replacement intervals on items like engine oil, hydraulic oil and filters.

On the EX1200-6, you’ll have easy access to routine checkpoints and critical components, making inspections and maintenance much easier. The walkway is easily accessible and inspection doors open wide. Airborne dust and particles are automatically ejected to keep filter elements clean, extending their replacement intervals.
