Hitachi’s Zaxis 470, 670, 870 Dash-5 Excavators named to Equipment Today Contractors’ Top 50 New Products for 2012
Moline, Ill. (Oct. 26, 2012) – Equipment Today, an equipment magazine serving commercial construction contractors, has selected Hitachi’s Zaxis 470, 670 and 870 Dash-5 excavators as three of the game‐changing new construction products of 2012.
The excavators were chosen as an award winner for the Contractors’ Top 50 New Products based on inquiries, page views and online voting by readers of Equipment Today, which reaches 77,000 construction equipment owners and end users.
Hitachi’s Dash-5 excavators combine horsepower with optimized hydraulics for bigger arm- and bucket-digging forces. The machines deliver superior productivity and durability, while keeping operating cost low. This allows operators to be more efficient and get more work done in less time.
“We are thrilled to have these three excavators be named to Equipment Today’s list of Top 50 New Products for 2012,” said Ryan Blades, Division Manager, Hitachi Construction and Mining. “To compete in today’s construction markets, contractors need highly-efficient and powerful products like these that they can count on.”
The editorial teams from Equipment Today and ForConstructionPros.com summed up product inquiries, web page views and online voting from products featured in Equipment Today over a 12‐month period (May 2011- April 2012).
The result is the 2012 Contractors’ Top 50 New Products, a listing of the industry’s foremost game changers. Additional information on award recipients can be found in a special online section of ForConstructionPros.com.
